Tree Demons

Extras Required for Scottish Fantasy Film

Applications are open for extra roles in a new feature film set in dark age Scotland

An open call has been issued by Scottish film production company, Fellowship Film, for volunteers to be part of their new feature film. Applications close 31 August.

The roles announced are for ‘Tree Demons’, fantastical creatures human in form.

The feature film, “Dalriata’s King”, is set in dark age Scotland and puts a fantasy twist into real characters and events from history just before Scotland’s birth and first King.

After the Gaels are betrayed by their Pictish neighbours, we join the exiled young king of the Gaels, Alpin Mac Eachdach, as he attempts to reunite his leaderless kingdom. But there is a great evil abroad, and Alpin must make unlikely allies and fight it at all cost.

The producer, Nathan Todd said “We are looking for male and female adult actors to be a part of our film. Previous experience as a film extra is not required, so long as you are enthusiastic about being involved in an epic Scottish fantasy action film.

“You will be required for the full day on our first day of shooting, Saturday 5th September. We will also be asking some, but not all extra’s back for smaller shoot days too.”

To apply, go to for an online application form.
